When my wife and I bought our first home, Philip did the financing for us, and there’s no doubt that he secured the best possible rate and terms for us. Philip has been our broker for the past 11 years and in that time we have bought two homes and now refinanced twice in that period. We have dealt with all the Giants in the home lending industry over the past decade and Philip is clearly superior to them all. In short, he knows the home finance business cold...clearly superior to any other broker, manager, or vice president we have talked with in the past.
Let me give you our most recent example where we spent over one year trying to obtain a VA refinance on our current home. When all the lending Giants said no, Philip found a way to minimize our out of pocket costs (and they were considerable) by working with his lender to fold most of our closing costs and VA fees into the interest rate. Remember, NO other bank would even talk to us, but Philip skillfullly worked with our home mortgage lender and convinced them to proceed. All this happened in about 60 days....a very short period considering all the regulations and new requirements that continually popped up.
My bottomline is this...Philip is aggressive, very knowledgeable and ethical in his business dealings....I highly recommend you consider him as your broker when you are looking for a broker who will look out for your interests vice the lender.
